We would like to introduce you to a new independent record label designed for the independent artist.
Krystal Vision Records
My name is Peter Britt. I am a country recording artist myself, so I already know the places to stay away from and, the direction to push towards. I've already seen the scammers etc up close and personal. Too close to be honest, but through all my endeavors, I have learned what to do, and what not to and, whom to avoid. There are many people out there who will take your money, add you on a "comp" cd and tell you about the connections they have. They will tell you that they are just right there at the edge of this big deal with a Nashville producer and you can be in at just the right moment. BS. That's all it is, absolute craporama!
I've been there, done that and, more than just once my friends. Do I have a magic wand? No, I certainly don't and that is the very FIRST thing I will tell you. It's hard work baby, even to find a small bit of success. However, achieving your dreams are possible. I am still on the way to achieving mine in the music industry but, I AM on my way. I am not there yet, but I will be. In the meantime, I decided to something I've wanted to for a very long time; to start my own independent record label.
We will be looking for artists who wish to get their music on our compilation cd's, which will be sent to numerous radio stations, producers and the like in the industry. We will also be recruiting artists for publishing contracts to get their music assigned to established artists to record. We are of course, just starting out, but we are beginning from an "artists" perspective with my school-of-hard=knocks diploma.
We are gearing up now for our January 1st opening and taking inquiries now for inclusion on our first compilation cd.
The compilation cd's KVR will be putting together are limited to ten (10) songs per cd. Putting 15-25 artists on a compilation cd as many places and people do, is a huge mistake. One we will not be making.
Here is a contact to get things started: peterbritt1@bresnan.net
You can also check out who I am if you wish. Here are a couple of places:
www.thatswhatlivingsfor.com
www.peter-britt.com
Please read on:
Krystal Vision Records will be officially open for business on January 1st, 2004.
KVR unlike many independent record labels, will exist to support the independent artist and their music.
We will be issuing compilation cd's as many do but, as many do not, KVR will only promise what we can deliver.
You will get the truth about where your music can go within the scope of our abilities and the TRUTH about the chance of it being played by any radio stations or, the chance of it being listened to by any publishers.
Basically, KVR is just now beginning so, we are not promising and pie-in-the-sky dreams, nor shall we ever do that.
If you want the truth; if you want your music to have the chance to be heard; if you want to know that you are dealing with an honest company that is not blowing smoke up your dress, KVR is the independent label you will want to associate yourself with. The KVR web site will be posted soon. Please indicate if you wish to be added to our mailing list. We will do so and inform you when the web site is operational.
For now, we are just letting everyone know about KVR and taking pre-opening questions, as well as signing artists up for publishing, and compilation projects.
Please be aware, KVR is not one of those ( sleezeball take your money and give you some home burned cdr with a stick-on label) type places OR, people. I am starting KVR to support independent music in every possible way and to try to be a catalyst for the talent out there undiscovered. Please contact us:
Peter Britt peterbritt1@bresnan.net
Sheri Britt sheribri@peter-britt.com
Deborah Lane Deborah_KVRecords@adelphia.net
Thank you and we look forward to hearing your music.

Best wishes,
Peter Britt

Hi Peter

I'm surprised no one has replied to this thread. Maybe it's because everyone wants to do it themselves...I dunno but I'm certainly not adverse to benefitting from the more experienced.

I live in Florida, and I'm a 24 year old guy. Never recorded anything, but I've done a lot of karaoke and I can play rythym to an extent. I need more education but I'm told I'm good at what I do. I've still gotta do some more reading, but when I'm done I'll shoot ya an email with more details about what I do and what I'm looking for.

Regards,
Chuck Whitehorse

Wisj I had known about this forum before.

I've got a couple songs. I don't think they're the hottest thing, but they're good and they have some heart.

One I wrote particularly would sound great if Tim McGraw did it.
I kinda wrote in that style. I'm a noodler, you know the type. I can play the opening to most any song, but I don't know the chords to any.

I love to write, though I'm not good at it. If there is another comp CD being released, I'd love to get my one good song on it. It's very simple, melodically speaking. No bridge. 3 verses and a chorus.

It's called "Forever In a Minute"

My name is Eric. I'll try to cut a demo for it if anybody's interested.
