Any active song-writers?

Any one here an active song writer? Do you have any songs recorded? I was in the Texas Songwriters Association for a couple of years but got nothing published. Got a lot of real nice polite rejections tho....LOL. Have'nt wrote anything in about six years now. ...........Cowboy

The cheesiest song I wrote was being scouted ny Sony Nashville, then a couple of planes crashed into a couple of buildings and everything kind of got put to the side.

I write a lot of lyrics and leave the melodies to other folk. I don't know how good they are, but they make sense to me. I have a poor man's copywrite on everything I do. It's juat as legal as shelling out tons of money to lawyers and such.

hi, im an active song writer but i havent showed any of my music to anyone yet.Im like anyone else Im trying to get alittle feedback from someone to see if i have any talent before i take the big,long,exhausting plung of sending my songs out"troy"

I had a single song contract put on hold for Rick Trevino, but nothing ever materialized. I am currently recording another slew of tunes to throw out there.

Yes, I am currently writing out songs, mostly country, some jazz and I am trying out new genres of music right now. Though, the majority is country. I am posting them on boards I regularly visit and get feedback from my friends there. My plans at the moment for the future, is to move to NYC after I graduate from college, write some more songs, copyright them, send them out to recording companies, and then sing and perform them for people.

I am not going to be a musician, this is just my hobby and what I enjoy doing, to burn off stress and express myself. Music is the fuel for my dreams and I strive to make that happen. Wink
