I need the name of the song that carries this phrase, or the artist --anything which will help me find the song. I think it was a song that talked about his dog dying, his wife running off, etc. any info would be appreciated!

| I know that line from Hee Haw. You remember the weekly part of the show that started 'doom, despair, and agony on me......' |

From Hee-Haw. They had new verses every week, and they were always very funny, but the chorus stayed the same.
"Gloom, despair, and agony on me (WHOAAA!)
Deep dark depression, excessive misery (WHOAAA!)
If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all (WHOAAA!)
Gloom, despair, and agony on me."
Funny, I was in a punk band for a while in college and we did a version of this. The "WHOAA" guy is great! |
