John Michael Montgomery released a song titled: The Little Girl
In this song a girl has parents who are drug addicts and alcoholics, and have the additional problem of domestic violence. Their problems are ended with the murder suicide of them............and all their problems came from the fact that they were un-believers.
But their daughters life is saved by Christians.
This song is irresponsible and morally wrong. Atheists are not evil people. They do not have any more problems than Christians, just because they are non-believers.
We are insulted by Mr. Montgomery and his attempt to spread the stereotype of evil to atheists.
We demand his public apology and will contact all his concert locations as to his irresponsible song. Rolling Eyes

This song is how old?? You'd think the protest would be over by now. This is a classic case of how people read way to much into everything nowdays. Besides the little girl wasn't saved by the Christians she just went to live with them after Jesus saved her. She recoginized Him on the Cross as the One who held her behind her couch the night her parents died. He saved her. The Christians came later.

First day of Sunday School the teacher walked in
And a small little girl stared at a picture of Him
She said I know that man up there on the Cross
I don't know His name but I know He got off
Cause He was there in my old house
And held me close to His side
as I hid there behind our couch
the night that my parents died Very Happy

Patrick, I think you've got it all wrong here. The song in no way implicates that all their problems come from the fact that they were unbelievers. The mention in the beginning of the song that they never took the girl to church only alludes to the end of the song and the fact that though she never went to church and was never exposed to Jesus, she recognized him as the one who held her the night her parents died. Fiction I'm sure and though I believe we as humans normally are not "touched" in this way, it's nice to think that it COULD happen. Very Happy

I'm tired of all the whining and complaining by pagans and atheists. Was this country not founded by Christians? Are we not stripping Christians of THEIR rights (like freedom of speech for one!) Question We (as a country) don't deny anyone the freedom to worship (or NOT worship) as they choose. Why should Christians be denied the freedom to express their feelings and opinions.

I completely agree with you Lacey131. I should be entitled to just as many rights as an athiest should. I'm tired of hearing people of other religions tell me I need to quit expressing my Christianity because of there beliefs. I think it's wrong that I can't express it openly, but I do it anyhow...lol. I hope you all have a nice day...
