Well i'm more of a rocker but i grew up on listening to Johnny Cash and other greats like Hank Williams and Hank Snow and learned to sing with them.We always had country on the 8 track so i learned to really like it.Now as a musician all that singing has helped me.And i can play most of the music i grew up on.BTW,i like your choice of subject.

I grew up on country music in the 50's and 60's. It taught me a lot about life, morals and what was expected of me. It taught me to care about myself and others as well. Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, and Waylon Jennings were my biggest influences. Their music made me want to play guitar and sing their songs. This opened some doors to allow me to communicate with others and express myself with music. Good or bad it made me who I am today.
